SERVING GOD ISN?T A JOB, ITS AN ADVENTURE!

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. (2 Cor 4:8-9 NIV)
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31 NIV)
Have you ever known anyone who thought church was boring? Chances are, you?ve met several people like that. Unbelievers wonder why we, as Christians, believe what we believe and act the way we act. They say things like ?you?re missing out on life,? or ?why do you limit yourself with religion?? to them, being a Christian looks like a boring, tedious, chore. It doesn?t sound very appealing, does it? But how can we prove them otherwise? All one has to do is look to Jesus for the example. Was his life boring? No way! He preached to thousands of people, fought the devil with scripture and won, gave sight to the blind, gave hearing to the deaf, brought people back from the dead, healed the sick and cast out demons. With righteous anger he threw out the money changers from the temple, and with gentle love and compassion he saved an adulteress woman from being stoned and forgave her. He was tempted, threatened, accused, and ridiculed, yet people gave up everything to follow him. His life was for from boring. Nowhere in the gospels is it written that Jesus was ever accused of leading a boring life. And since we are to be imitators of him, (Ephesians 5:1), no one should be able to tell us that our faith is dull. Jesus said, ?I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father,? (John 14:12). He said that we will do even GREATER things than Him! If people see us as being boring, then perhaps we are not living in radical faith the way Jesus did. So lets walk in faith, and we will change the world!
